360 liposculpture
Liposculpture aspirates and sculpts: it reduces the volume of the fat layers on the abdomen, flanks and back to achieve a more harmonious contour. What matters is knowing what it doesn't do: it doesn't remove skin. If what's left over is skin, you need a dermolipectomy.

Who it's for
People with localised fat and skin with good tension, looking to define the waist and contour. Also as a complement to a dermolipectomy or abdominoplasty, to shape the areas the resection doesn't treat. In well-selected post-bariatric patients it can be combined with an abdominoplasty: there's no contraindication in the international literature; the key is selection.
How it's done
With specific cannulas, with or without technology, fat is aspirated around the 360 degrees of the trunk. Depending on the case I add surgical radiofrequency to improve skin retraction, or use the harvested fat to add volume elsewhere (for example, the buttocks).
Scar and recovery
Incisions are small and hidden in folds. There's a compression garment, lymphatic drainage and a gradual return to activity. The final result shows as swelling goes down, over months.
What we discuss beforehand
Whether the problem is fat, skin or both. If the answer is skin, liposculpture alone will leave you dissatisfied, and I'd rather say so beforehand.

Frequently asked questions
Does liposculpture remove loose skin?
No. It reduces fat. For excess skin the indication is a dermolipectomy, which does leave a scar.
Can it be combined with an abdominoplasty?
Yes, in selected patients, post-bariatric ones included. It depends on general condition, lab values and the staged plan.
Does radiofrequency replace surgery?
No. It's a tool that can improve skin retraction combined with liposculpture; on its own it doesn't solve excess skin.
